Keep in mind, this is only the review of the DEMO, as the full game may be different. (my brother went out and bought Arkham Asylum out of the blue. Apparently, the demo and the "durrrr, the game is amazing, nothing wrong, buy it!" people made me really skeptical. There are LOADS of people who say that. I've played it now, and it isn't as bad as I originally thought. Will review it later)

Anyway, the PSN was updated yesterday with a few things. Once we get our internet fixed, I'll be able to say things about the Wii's Monday update as well, (I can't for the 360, sorry. No Xbox) So here we go.

First off, Blood Omen and Silent Hill are out for the PS1 section. BUYTHEMNOWWWWWWW.

The English version of Katamari Forever was released.

I've played the Japanese demo....but I didn't say a word because it's all in Japanese. I couldn't understand a thing that was going on. And you know what, in this demo...I still have no idea what's going on! I've never played a Katamari game before. All I know is that the King of the Cosmos is...gone somehow and there is a robot acting in his place. The music is odd, the controls are really odd and I can't do a thing. It moves like a tank, the left joystick moves the ball thing around while the right one points you in the right direction. It's frustrating turning to the side or trying to jump.

BUT, I'm a total newb at this game. Supposedly, it's exactly like the other games. So I'm thinking it's one of those odd ones that make you go "wtf?" at first, but after you play it a while you get used to the story and the controls and such. I'll keep playing the demo and trying to get used to it. (see, I'm such a newb. His name is King of all Cosmos, durrr.)

Then we have....
How weird, releasing a demo of Little Big Planet so late after it's launch? I'm guessing they are preparing for the Game of the Year edition. But honestly....who needs a demo? IT'S LITTLE BIG PLANET. DO NOT QUESTION THE GREATNESS.

and fucking finally...they released Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. (that's a big ass name) along with a demo for it.

After reading reviews and such I kept thinking, "Did they really ruin it?" but I was still excited to play....and then I wasn't. I didn't recognize ANYTHING. Even the music is all off. The nostalgic feeling when you play something old you haven't in a while wasn't there. THIS IS WHY PORTS ARE BETTER THAN REMAKES. It did not feel the same playing it. It was bland. Even a direct arcade port would be better. (Even though I think the SNES version is the best) Seeing it just makes me want to play the original again instead of wasting 10$ on that. Normally, professional reviews tend to be wrong or exaggerated, but they hit the dot for this.

In fact, see for yourself. Look at this video.

Of course, demos are free. Download it, play it, and figure it out for yourself. I find it odd that some people refuse to try out demos. True that some are bad, bad demos, but it's worth a try anyway.
